  • i built similar dashboard by adding user field to the controller,
    the filed is calculated by SQL Expression.

    then i have created stored procedure to build the html required to display the dashboard and assigned that stored procedure to the created field

    add the field to editForm1
    remuber to uncheck HTML encoding on the field definition.

    i hope that will help.

  • Hi Haitham,
    I think this is good. Could you please break it down on how you are injecting stored proc into the html

    in summary you have to creaate stored procedure/ function to return the required html, depend on the case sometimes i use function and other time i use SP but the concept is the same:
    here is sample of function that will return the status:

    ALTER FUNCTION [dbo].[GetPayrollStatus]
    (
    -- Add the parameters for the function here
    -- select dbo.GetPayrollStatus(1941)
    @DexRowID int
    )
    RETURNS varchar(max)
    AS
    begin

    declare @html as varchar(max)
    declare @PayrollStatus as int

    select @PayrollStatus = PayrollStatus from Payrolls where DEX_ROW_ID = @DexRowID

    set @html = (select
    case @PayrollStatus
    when 9 then 'Closed'
    when 7 then 'Fully Approved'
    when 8 then 'Approved'
    when 6 then 'Pending'
    else 'Client Review' end)

    RETURN @html

    end

    you can define those thml classes in you css file

    after that for any controller that i want to shows those htme status i create a field as follow:

    in order to display the content of the filed as html, don't forget to uncheck 'HTML encoding'

    then you can add the field to the editForm1

    i hope that will help,
