Microsoft Graph username

I set up Microsoft oauth and was quite surprised at the user names created. For example

Is this the way it is supposed to be? It's not the most appealing, and of course the first time a user tried to save a record, it failed because the audit fields createdby and modified by were not large enough to accommodate all that.

  • This is the name reported by your Azure Active Directory.

    Your maintains shadow users in the database. Consider getting ModifedByUserId and CreatedByUserId instead.

    It is also possible to capture user Last/First names with a bit of coding.

    We will extend automatic processing of extended user properties in the future releases. Additional fields on OAuth registration will be mapped to extended fields in Users data controller. The exact mechanism is being worked out.
