Free version site wont validate and how to install under .net 4.0

Hi
The sharepoint wont validate 401 error even though Im admin and
error message when publishing states
"The local farm is not accessible. Cmdlets with FeatureDependencyID are not registed"

And
"Get-SPWebApplication: Microsoft sharepoint is not supported with version 4.0"

I want this corrected so I can see the final layout on the SP site.

Thanks

  • Ted, we only support SP 2010, which is based on .NET 3.5.

Support for SharePoint 2013/2015 is scheduled to become available in release 8.11.0.0. See our roadmap for 2015/2016 at http://codeontime.com/roadmap.

The current implementation works with SharePoint 2010 only. App generator creates a native Web Part that interacts directly with the database. This creates various complications when it comes to deployment. This model will not work with Office 365 or hosted installations of the latest versions of SP.

The new approach will be different. App generator will create a custom SharePoint web part that does not interact with the database at all. Instead it will pre-wired to interact in SaaS mode with any app created as Azure Factory, Web App Factory, or Web Site Factory. The web part will render "logical" application pages in the boundaries of a web part instance within a native page of SharePoint. The logical page contents will be styled to match the latest releases of SP. The web part will pass encrypted user identity to SaaS installation.

This approach will also enable taking advantage of Touch UI, since the core apps support simultaneously Desktop UI and Touch UI.

You can create Azure Factory, Web App Factory, or Web Site Factory with the current release of app generator and run the generated app as a standalone installation. Make a link to your app from SP. The styling of desktop UI is very similar to SharePoint and your end users will feel "at home". The "embedded mode" will further enhance the native feeling of the app when release 8.11.0.0 is out.

  • Hi
    Thanks for the response
    Im hosting SP Foundation 2010
    I have .net4.0 installed.

So what do I need to do to make it work?
"The local farm is not accessible. Cmdlets with FeatureDependencyID are not registed"

    And
"Get-SPWebApplication: Microsoft sharepoint is not supported with version 4.0"

I want this corrected so I can see the final layout on the SP site.
